Effluent disinfection
Effluents are disinfected by adding a compound that contains chlorine (sodium chloride 10%) whose function is to disinfect all pathogenic microbes in the effluents produced at the treatment plant. After the effluents have undergone the appropriate disinfection process, they can be used for irrigating field crops based on quality requirements as determined by law.
In the framework of the treatment plant upgrade, the Association is expediting the construction of an effluent disinfection installation to treat all of the effluents produced at the plant.
